The Christmas season not only brings festive smells and warm moments, but also the perfect opportunity to immerse yourself in the world of winter cocktails.
The winter solstice cocktail was inspired by the mood of the season – the long nights, the twinkling stars and the warm light of candles. I chose the smoky single malt “Age of Capricorn” from Seven Seals’ Zodiac line as the main protagonist. This whisky is characterized by its peated character and a finish in sherry casks, which gives it a deep, warming sweetness and a subtle fruitiness.
Place all the ingredients in a cocktail shaker with ice and shake vigorously.
Strain into a tumbler with ice and garnish with a cinnamon stick and lemon zest.
